Project Manager

Enjoy working with clients, keeping projects on track, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks? We're looking for someone who brings structure and clarity to our projects. And you'd do it for some of the biggest brands in the world. Sounds like you? Then read on.

About Optimeister

We're Optimeister. An Airtable and Make partner based in Nijmegen. We build the systems big brands run on. Philips, Daikin, Deliveroo, NPO. We build the systems their teams work on every single day. From marketing operations to project management to sales ops. We've seen it all.

We help these teams work faster, work smarter, and put AI to work. Standard software rarely fits how teams actually operate. Custom software is too slow and too expensive. So we build the system that fits, delivered in short sprints.

We're the first official Airtable Gold Partner in the Netherlands.

Last year we were named ACE Partner of the Year FY2026

About the role

Optimeister is growing. More projects, bigger clients, and a delivery team that's taking shape. Our clients value our speed and directness. We want to keep it that way as we scale. So we're adding a Project Manager to the delivery team.

In this role, you make sure projects actually land. On time, within scope, and with happy clients. Our developers build the solution. You run the process around it. You keep the rhythm, guard priorities, and make sure everyone knows what's next.

You won't do this alone. You'll report to our Product Delivery Manager and work side by side to keep an overview across projects and improve how we work. You'll also work closely with clients and colleagues. You lead meetings, follow up on action points, and keep things from getting stuck.

In May 2026 we've co-hosted the first Airtable event in the region

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead project meetings: kickoffs, discovery sessions, sprint reviews, and go-lives
  • Act as the client's main point of contact and follow through on agreements
  • Keep planning, scope, and priorities on track, and step in when things shift
  • Protect developers' focus by clearing distractions and loose ends
  • Monitor progress, catch issues early, and solve small blockers yourself
  • Guide clients through testing, feedback, and adoption of the solution
  • Keep project documentation up to date so decisions and scope changes are easy to find
  • Report on status, progress, and risks to clients and the delivery team
  • Run evaluations to review what could be better and spot new opportunities

What we’re looking for

  • 2+ years in a client-facing role, ideally in tech or IT
  • Experience running projects end to end: planning, scope, deadlines, and keeping stakeholders aligned
  • Comfortable managing several projects in parallel without losing overview
  • Familiar with agile ways of working: sprints, reviews, backlogs, and prioritization
  • Fluent Dutch and English, spoken and written
  • Confident running meetings and leading client conversations, including saying no when needed
  • Structured, proactive, and calm when things get busy
  • Comfortable with mid-sized and larger organizations and multiple stakeholders
  • You like thinking in processes and systems
  • Available 32 to 40 hours per week
  • Bonus if you've worked with Airtable, Make, or AI. Nice to have, not a must

What we offer

  • A salary between €3.000 and €4.500 gross per month, based on 40 hours, depending on experience
  • 25 vacation days, plus a travel allowance if you live more than 10 km from the office
  • A personal growth budget for training, events, certifications, whatever moves you forward
  • Projects for world-known brands and enterprise clients, and you'll see them actually used
  • Ownership from day one. You run your own projects, and your ideas get built, not parked
  • A no-nonsense team. Informal culture, short lines, strong team spirit
  • A dedicated workspace in our cozy Nijmegen office, with one day remote if you prefer
  • A company MacBook
  • Quarterly team outings and a yearly team workation. Last year we went to Cape Town
