Challenge

Airtrack Factory faced a major challenge: automating their order picking process. There was a need for a tool that would not only help them pick orders efficiently, but would also seamlessly integrate with their current order management system. The desire for specific functionalities meant that standard systems on the market were not sufficient, so a customized solution was required.

Solution

At Optimeister, we took up the challenge with no-code tools. By working closely with the AirTrack team, we have designed and developed a tool that makes it possible for order pickers to efficiently process all orders from the order management system using a handy scanner.

Integration with the order management system

To maximize the efficiency of the order picking process, we have developed an advanced integration with the existing order management system. This integration ensures that new orders are automatically retrieved from the application database and any changes are updated immediately. In addition, there is two-way communication: every creation of a packing slip via our app is immediately reported back to the order management system.

Easy-to-use scanner app

We have designed and developed a special app that works optimally on hand scanners. This app makes it possible to enter data quickly and efficiently by simply scanning barcodes in the warehouse. With this functionality, order pickers can immediately activate and fill relevant fields in the app, leading to faster order processing and fewer picking errors.

All orders at a glance

In the app, order pickers can easily view all orders per week. By clicking on an order, the details and the list of products to be picked immediately appear. This provides a clear and accessible overview, so that order pickers quickly have the necessary information at hand.

Pick the right products per order

The app makes it possible for order pickers to process orders product by product. Each order picker can easily scan a product's serial number. While scanning, the app automatically checks whether the scanned item matches the item in the order and whether it has not already been assigned to another order.

After successfully completing the picking for an order, the order is closed and automatically reported back to the order management system.
